About My Clients

I consider it to be a privilege to be invited into my clients lives to help them healing, change, and find solutions to discover what works for them. Credentials and experience are essential, however research shows that one of the most important elements is therapeutic relationship you have with your therapist. I have experienced this to be true; so, I encourage you to meet with me in person to see what it feels like to sit together and talk with me.

My Background and Approach

My name is NaTasha A. Bailey. I graduated with a Master of Science in Marriage Family and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix. During my academic work I was the recipient of the 2010 California Department of Mental Health MFT Stipend Program Educational award and I am currently licensed with the State of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist Licensed (#86354). As a marriage and family therapist my training has been from a systems perspective. Systems therapy works with the relationship and cycles of interaction between persons. Within the context of systems that may be affecting one’s life, issues such as gender, culture, and spirituality are considered. I believe that therapy not only takes place in the therapy room, but also between sessions therefore, a part of your therapeutic process may include assignments outside the therapy room. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups. The approaches that I use In treatment vary.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

NaTasha believes that therapy not only takes place in the therapy room, but also in everyday life experiences. She knows that relationship between the therapist and the client is paramount for productive treatment and ultimately for healing to occur. She hopes to inspire clients by empowering, educating and encouraging them to build on their strengths as well as possibilities in order to move to a place of hope and healing. Her goal is to creatively collaborate with individuals, couples and families to improve their present experience of life, and transform relationships in ways that inspire a meaningful and hope-filled future and target the African American Community dealing with social justice issues and job related work stress.
