About My Clients
I am passionate about working with motivated adults who are interested in an honest self-exploration of themselves in order to confront the barriers to showing up in their lives authentically and without shame. I support clients who are interested in working through issues related to childhood trauma, self-worth, shame, body image, boundary setting, sexual trauma, low desire, sexual dysfunction and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
It is my goal to provide a space where you can share your feelings and difficult aspects of your relationships and sexuality that is affirming of all aspects of who you are and who you want to be. I will use my genuine curiosity to work in collaboration with you to reach your goals and create the relationship with yourself, your partner(s), or loved ones that you desire. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Internal Family systems, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a sex therapist as a result of my own healing journey. I was raised in a Christian home and was taught to feel shame about my body and my sexuality. There were a lot of “shoulds” that were running my life, and when I was taught as an adult that I could create a life without the pressures of my family’s or society’s rules, I felt free. As a result, I wanted to be the person to help others build insight into their experiences and create lives that align with their own values and boundaries.
