About My Clients
My clients are interested in a holistic orientation towards well-being. They are seeking a safe, non-pathologizing, and nurturing space to navigate the suffering and challenges faced in life. They are also curious about meaning-making and deepening their relationship to life and Self. Whether you're seeking therapy for the first time or have previous experience, I encourage you to reach out to see whether we'd be a good match for the work you're hoping to engage in.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with specialization in Holistic Studies. My practice is informed by somatic, mindful, and relational modalities including Hakomi, parts-work, and person-centered psychotherapy. I am grounded in trauma-informed approaches to body-oriented therapy and carry a relational-cultural lens in my work. I also bring to counseling over a decade of experience in the healing arts including herbalism, bodywork, yoga, and Ayurvedic medicine. These experiences anchor me in a holistic orientation towards wellbeing with an emphasis on the capacity for healing through connection and embodiment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I see healing as a holistic, non-linear, and sometimes mysterious process. I center relationality, strengths, and resiliency in my work. I value a perspective of interdependence and reciprocity as it pertains to relationships between individuals, communities, and the environment. I believe therapy is for everyone. I strive to offer culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. I engage in ongoing self-work to offer care that upholds anti-racist praxis, allyship for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled communities. I see the effects of intergenerational trauma, racial and historical trauma, and systemic oppression and violence as integral to my understanding of my work as a mental health clinician.
