About My Clients
Many things can affect our lives in unhealthy ways: stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or loss. Therapy is a place to heal and grow. While working with me in therapy, we will identify and develop healthy patterns that help you, your partner and/or your family, heal and grow.
My Background and Approach
There is no “one right way” to be in healthy relationships or a family. Sometimes that is exciting and other times, extremely confusing. Clients are partners in the therapy process and my approach focuses on healthy flexibility and resiliency. I am a therapist who sees people in terms of their relationships with others and their larger context. You can expect a warm, inviting environment and a therapist invested in helping you develop new, yet authentic coping skills for a healthier life. I value relationships of all types and their ability to heal individuals, couples and families.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that relationships are the way we heal and grow. Through my own story, I have experienced the healing power of acceptance, warmth, and guidance in a variety of relationships. Whether it be similar to my experience of chronic illness or stress as a small business owner; we all have our struggle. Working as a couples and family therapist has been a powerful experience of hope. When I’m not working with couples and families in therapy or continuing to develop my systems therapy tool box, I enjoy spending precious time with my husband, creating crafts, cooking and dining my way through the Big Easy.
