About My Clients
Life feels like it was turned upside down or maybe you even wonder if you're going crazy! Managing your day-to-day life is stressful and exhausting. When (if) you do have time to yourself, it isn’t restful and maybe you find yourself feeling anxious about tomorrow’s challenges. It is during this time that you need others to come alongside you, to support you, and to provide compassion. I will provide the type of space that allows your pain to soften and hope to emerge.
My Background and Approach
I help individuals who feel overwhelmed, either by chronic stress, caregiving, grief/loss, or religious/spiritual struggles. I provide a space to reevaluate, redefine, and reconnect with what matters most to them. Through my warm, collaborative, and practical approach in therapy, individuals grow in self-awareness, practice self-nourishment, and rediscover values in their life so that they can flourish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that it is never too early or late to seek help from others. When we do ask for help both sides often benefit in some way. I've been on the other side, sitting on the couch in a therapist's office at points in my life too. I understand how uncomfortable it can be. I've completed a few different projects on spirituality, growth, and coping with a new diagnosis, injury, or sensory loss. What each of these projects reminded me of is that people are always learning and growing and changing, and as long as we strive for these things we continue. It also showed me that past experiences, particularly the really hard things, give us information to handle the next hard thing.
