Thank you for visiting. It means a lot that you’re here. It suggests you’re sensing something in your life isn’t the way you’d like it to be, and that you’ve decided it’s time for change. A professor of mine once said, “All therapy boils down to one issue–I’m stuck.” Sometimes getting going can be the hardest part. You’ve already taken an important first step.
My Background and Approach
If we want things to be different, we can start by doing things differently. You don’t have to stay stuck. I know sometimes life can feel overwhelming. I want to help you discover new perspectives, new possibilities, and new ways of approaching challenges and relating to other people and yourself. We'll look at the experiences that shaped you, unproductive patterns, what's getting in your way or holding you back. We’ll work to heal old wounds, identify your resources, build awareness, resilience, empowerment and self-acceptance, improve communication, foster more fulfilling relationships, increase your capacity to live fully in the present moment, and cultivate a life based on what you value most.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is primarily about two things: self-exploration and connection–the capacity to connect meaningfully with others and the insight to reconnect with the Self. To begin with, a solid therapeutic relationship is key. I strive to create an open, non-judgemental, collaborative space of safety and trust where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I approach this work with all the curiosity, creativity, authenticity, compassion, respect, empathy, and good humor I can. I’m here for you, to help clarify what isn’t working and explore approaches for bringing about change.
