My Background and Approach
My approach is always trauma-centered and I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing). I use a combination of EMDR, expressive arts, breath work, and mindfulness to bring awareness to the body where we store trauma. There is no single approach to trauma; together, we will explore your path of healing and growth with compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Change happens through awareness of who you are and how you see yourself in the world. Unblocking life-long negative beliefs and noticing where you carry those beliefs can bring some relief. We will explore and attend to negative beliefs and intrusive thoughts from the past through EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing). Processing traumatic events from your past can help regulate today's emotions. I have seen how well this treatment works, not just for others but for myself. I believe we can heal and feel better once we let go of the past that sometimes haunts us.
