About My Clients
It is common for difficult emotions, stressful relationships, and trauma to keep us stuck in unhealthy patterns. I will support you in exploring and overcoming barriers that have you caught in anxiety or feelings of hopelessness. If you are feeling ready to end these patterns and move beyond your pain, reach out, and we can begin the healing journey.
My Background and Approach
I’ll walk right alongside you as we build a trusting and secure connection, and I’ll balance validation and understanding with providing the challenge you need to help you progress towards your goals. I will encourage skills, and tools to aid you in overcoming roadblocks that may seem insurmountable. I have a background in behavioral therapy (DBT) and in trauma therapy (Brainspotting) and I also utilize EFT therapy for addressing issues in relationships and communication.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm believer in the fact that we are all capable of growth and healing. I find that a very important aspect of therapy is feeling connected to your therapist and so I am always working to make sure that I am attuned to my clients so they feel seen and understood. I know that it is all too easy to feel stuck and trapped in ourselves and uncertain of how to even begin to change. I also recognize that many of us are stuck in patterns of self-loathing, negative self-talk, and low self-esteem that make us feel as though we are a burden or not enough. Just as I recognize these things, I also know that change is possible and that we can alter our view of the world and of ourselves with some effort, guidance, and care. We are each on a separate journey and I will do my utmost to support and challenge you so that you are able to reach your goals and see the changes you hope for.
