At Sauna Therapy, we’re here to work with you so you that you can begin celebrating yourself. We believe in honoring your journey and bearing witness to your experience with radical acceptance and kindness. We hear your pain, your story and believe in your growth. We see you with kind eyes rather than through a judgmental lens. We accept you and all of the explosive and raw vulnerability that you bring into our sessions. We partner with you, knowing that therapy is hard work but you’re worth it.
My Background and Approach
My style is warm, attuned, and relaxed incorporating research-backed therapeutic modalities that make therapy #feelgood. My clinical orientation is humanistic with interest in the biological system as it relates to trauma and mental health conditions. I specialize in understanding the connection between the body, stress and dissociation using the lens of psychoneuroimmunology. As a board-certified therapist, Paige Swanson offers consultative services with a counseling psychology and mental health degree from Northwestern University. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I started my counseling journey, by developing an all-woman's support group entitled, "Women in Leadership." I then began working in corporate America, until I decided to go back to school for counseling. My experience involves working in major hospitals to court-appointed therapy for individuals in the criminal justice system. In that experience, I became affiliated with trauma specializations including domestic violence, rape, homicide, addiction, and gang violence.
