About My Clients
I primarily work with women living through different transitions in their life. When it comes to your life, I believe that you are the expert. There is no way I could know more about you than you do. My training and experience allow me to provide services rooted in research, but tailored to who you are as a person. I have advanced training in perinatal mental health and traumatic grief & loss.
My Background and Approach
I have been working with children, adolescents, families, adults and mothers since 2002 in different settings including schools, residential programs, drug treatment centers, community based mental health, and hospitals in addition to growing my own private practice. My diverse trainings and experiences allow me to provide services rooted in research but tailored specific to who you are as a person as I believe that you are the expert of your own life and experiences. Whether this is your first time engaging in therapy or just the first time meeting with me I understand that it can be scary and it takes an immense amount of courage to show up in the therapy space. During sessions, I approach the space with gentle curiosity, compassion, and an open heart. I believe that it takes courage and strength to seek help, and we will build upon that strength during our time together. I see you and I am meeting you in a space free of judgement with compassion and hope.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it takes courage and strength to seek help. I hope to create an inclusive therapy practice rooted in that courage, where you feel safe to explore with gentle curiosity your life and the changes you are seeking to make. I believe that each of us is the foremost expert in our own lives and lived experiences. In our work I hope to remain humble and help you gain power over your own experience. In my work I strive to provide therapy services that are compassionate, nurturing, and free of judgment. I will not turn away from topics that have the potential to cause me discomfort and will continue to center our work together on you. I believe in creating space to value, honor, and uplift intersecting identities that one person holds. Everyone is deserving of safety and connection. I believe in common humanity and that we are all sorting through the messiness of finding out what it means to be human together.
