About My Clients
Does it feel like lately your thoughts and feelings are running the show? Do you spend so much time trying to manage your anxiety, or your insomnia, or protect yourself from pain that your life has shrunk? Whether it’s racing thoughts that keep you up all night, or dread that keeps you away from the relationships you want, or a diagnosis you were handed with little to no support - I'm here for you. Let’s get YOU and your deepest values running the show again–so that you can get back to living!
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and focused primarily on health psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and biofeedback during my graduate training. This means that I have in-depth knowledge about how the mind and body influence each other and how to move towards a healthier, calmer baseline in your day-to-day life. I use a variety of skills to help reduce the power of exhausting thoughts and feelings, improve your ability to relax, figure out what matters most to you, and learn to relate to pain, worry, sleeplessness, and other struggles in new ways. A large part of treatment includes education about pain, anxiety, the nervous system, and mindfulness - all of which can have a positive impact on mental health and well-being. As a neuroscience geek, I can get really excited about new research and I love to share this with my patients. On a more personal note: I have been where you are right now. You are not alone.
