My Background and Approach
My therapy style is strength-based, you-centered, and motivational interviewing guided. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is built on safety from judgment, mutual trust, and open curiosity. With that foundation, talk therapy also involves selecting the strongest evidence-based intervention(s) that fit your personal and cultural framework. My experiences include working as a counselor in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, mental health treatment coordinator at the VA, therapist at Kaiser Psychiatry, and case manager in a chronic conditions program.
