Feeling engaged in your life, striving for excellence in your work, and feeling less self critical is within your reach. I work with my clients to first understand more about the facts and myths about perfectionism, and that there is hope. Next, we work collaboratively to maintain high standards while also reducing that self critical voice. I help my clients master a set of tools that they can use to reduce their self criticalness and feel less exhausted in their lives.
I have held a range of positions in the counseling field, and my experience as a tenured professor mentoring students in counseling approaches and theories reinforces my passion for helping individual clients directly. Most of my research is focused on perfectionism and stress management, and I am excited to share it with my clients.
