My Background and Approach
I'm a CA licensed psychotherapist (she/her) with a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies. We all hold trauma and past wounding which we carry with us into our present life, and throughout our lifetime we have created protective ways to manage these internal experiences. Together we'll befriend and shine light on the various protective parts of your internal system that may have assisted you in the past but are currently keeping you stuck in dysfunctional patterns. My approach is playful, intuitive and trauma informed, while grounded in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory and Internal Family Systems. I am astrologically oriented and when appropriate or invited, will use astrology, guided imagery, tarot and other archetypal mediums for depeening inward exploration and guidance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My role as psychotherapist is to create a safe space to explore where you come from on a personal and systemic level, and together we'll examine how these elements impact the choices you make and the experiences you encounter in your everyday life. I am an astrology enthusiast and dabble in all things archetypal in the name of self exploration. I've always been curious about the human experience and drawn to the invisible realms of life. I work relationally and bring a variety of creative mediums into my work that allow us to safely explore our inner and outer worlds. I invite my clients to become a playful investigator of their internal experience, tapping into their inner child, nurturing their wounded self and giving expression to those misunderstood parts that long to be seen and heard. I believe that therapy can be something that we want to show up for and that learning how to become more gentle with ourselves is the key ingredient for any healing and transformation.
