About My Clients
I help older teens and adults overcome mood, stress, and work/life issues to build a resilient identity and a more satisfying life. My clients may be struggling with stressful situations at home or at work, or in finding balance between the two. I am especially passionate about exploring the relationship between mental health and work, which may include issues such as a career change, loss of employment, workplace trauma, or fathers struggling to find a balance between family and career.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Boston College in 2018 with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. Since then, I have provided counseling in various community and therapeutic settings. Through my Vocational Therapy work, I have helped individuals find stronger and more satisfying work experiences, and in my Psychiatric Rehabilitation work I have helped individuals recover from more serious mental health issues. In our therapeutic work, we may draw upon varied theoretical orientations and a flexible, integrative approach tailored to each individual's needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mentalization-based techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring a strengths-based, collaborative approach to therapy that views mental health as an ongoing process of mindful recovery throughout a person's lifetime. I believe that building a healthy and satisfying work life is an important part of an individual's overall wellness - something often overlooked when discussing our mental health.
