I chose to specialize in Anxiety treatment because improvement is nearly guaranteed! Since Neuroscientists know much about what is going on in the brain when dealing with anxiety and panic, there are many effective treatment options. I have almost completed an additional credential as a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional which equips me to work with any Anxiety Disorder, panic, phobias, and OCD. My current clients have seen success and I look forward to helping you as well!

With a tendency towards stress myself, I have studied many techniques to manage and minimize stress throughout my professional career as a mental health therapist. I have worked with clients dealing with stress resulting from relationships, health, spirituality, transitions, task-orientation, expectations, perfectionism, same-sex attraction and more. Additionally, I worked in the business field for 6 years, so I closely understand job stress and pressures from startup to corporate settings.

Whatever your type of transition, I can help you navigate it. I have worked with clients who are transitioning through many events and phases of life: post-school to work/independence/adulting, pregnancy/post-partum, single-parenting, career changes, unemployment, acculturation, relocation, mid-life, retirement, relationship changes, return to work post-maternity leave and more.

I was trained in CBT in my graduate studies and continued to develop my skills using this approach throughout my 5+ years of practice. I've seen this form of therapy bring incredible change to clients in a short amount of time. This is consistent with numerous research studies that suggest CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life, and is as effective as, or even more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or medications.
