When your reality feels far away from what you want, it can feel discouraging, isolating, and frustrating. Sometimes it feels like no one else “gets it.” I work with people striving to become their best selves, whether that means overcoming burnout or lack of purpose, coping with chronic illness, or figuring out how to get from where you are now to where you want to be.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is a partnership. My goal is to help you recover from the fatigue and burden of living with chronic stress and to rebuild a life that is filled with joy. Every client is different, I customize my treatment approach to meet your specific goals/needs. Together we will use your strengths to change the thoughts/behaviors that are no longer serving you and leave you feeling empowered. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I use my experience in DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches in our work together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When you are exposed to chronic stressors over long periods of time (e.g. a pandmic, chronic illness, or work stress), your nervous system goes into survival mode. This can leave you feeling drained, stuck, and generally uninspired. I know it is hard to reach out and ask for help. By looking for a therapist, you've already taken the first step!
