About My Clients

I specialize in helping parents who are worried about their children, usually due to a mix of educational, behavioral or emotional concerns. Perhaps their child is struggling to learn, make friends, or manage the "business" of school. Or, perhaps their child seems anxious or sad, and these emotions limit their ability to thrive at school or at home. I also work with many young adults who are transitioning into college or graduate school, and need to better understand their learning profile.

My Background and Approach

As a mother of three children and licensed clinical psychologist, I understand the difficulties that parents face when making decisions that affect our children’s future. Thus, when working with children and adolescents, my primary goal is to help parents better understand their child and to empower parents to meet their child’s needs. When working directly with young adults, I strive to develop their insight into their strengths and challenges and guide them on how to best advocate for themselves in academic and workplace settings. I completed my undergraduate degree at Harvard College and earned my Doctor of Psychology degree at the Wright Institute. Further training included an APA-approved internship at Franciscan Children’s Hospital and a postdoctoral fellowship at North Shore Children’s Hospital, both in the Boston area. Since earning my California clinical psychology license in 2006, I have specialized in comprehensive evaluations of children, adolescents and young adults.
