About My Clients

My Background and Approach
Research shows the #1 factor in successful therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist. I care for my clients immensely and I'm deeply invested in your healing. It's so important to me that you do not feel alone in your struggles, and that you are supported, guided, and nurtured. I'm a gentle challenger who will point out your blind spots and tell you what I'm thinking. I don't do the blank slate thing. I can roll with f-bombs and a dark sense of humor. I encourage you not to hold back. I have a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's degree in counseling and development. I use evidence-based, gold-standard approaches such as CBT and EMDR. If you're a verbal processer, I am patient while you vent. If you need more direction and guidance in therapy, I've got your back. We will work together in the way that best suits you to help you get to where you want to be. I got you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and culturally sensitive. I'm SOGI trained and have experience supporting individuals throughout transition, healing from trauma and childhood wounds, broken relationships, anxiety, and depression. I celebrate all identities, abilities, and bodies. I know the pain of struggling alone and of feeling judged and criticized by others. I became a therapist so that fewer people would have to struggle alone, and so that they could find their own strength, resilience, and healing. I approach the world with an existential-humanistic lens, and I believe that individuals have an enormous capacity to heal and grow if given the right tools, guidance, environment, and opportunity. I'm here to help you with that.
