About My Clients
Is self-doubt making you fearful? Does insecurity stop you from taking risks such as asking someone out or applying for a job? I know what it's like to feel trapped and weighed down by the fear that you'll make a mistake and embarrass yourself or fail. I also know the pain and regret of not trying. Talk therapy, EMDR and group therapy are approaches that can help you work through that self-doubt so that you can move more confidently through your life.
My Background and Approach
I have done extensive training on the development of the self and the relationship between the self and others. My goal is for you to have greater awareness of the feelings and beliefs that you have about yourself, others and the world. Together we discover new perspectives that provide relief from the beliefs that oppress you. I help you discover the self-care and coping skills that can allow you to overcome attacks of self-doubt.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that this life is precious and beautiful and that we are meant to enjoy the journey. I believe in play. But in order to play in life, there needs to be a sense of safety. I have been very fortunate to be able to experience that safety that has made it possible to play. I want to share that freedom with others. In so many ways I try to share the joy of living with others. I take girls on adventures with a girl scout troop and started an adventure club for adults. I'm involved with a group therapy organization that promotes communication, connection and understanding between all people.
