I can help you develop the right tools and strategies needed deal with current issues and also help you to be better equipped in the future.
My Background and Approach
For 20 years, I've been working with people from all walks of life -- individuals, couples and families; each with their own stories to tell, each with their own struggles. No matter what challenge you are currently facing, I'm here to help you live your best life. I meet my client where they are and work with them, collaboratively, to develop strategies and adaptive coping skills to accomplish their therapy goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an African-American male, I understand the Black community's view of therapy and the associated stigma. I feel it is my responsibility, as a therapist, to help clients by normalizing the therapeutic process, providing psychoeducation and providing information about the overall benefits of therapy. Also, I believe that therapy should be an exchange between client and therapist. The client discusses issues and concerns. The therapist offers feedback, interpretation, and reflection driven by evidenced based practices.
