About My Clients
Throughout his career he has helped kids, teens, and parents address their unique challenges in outpatient counseling, residential, and wilderness settings. During his career, Roy also specialized in working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system, taking the time to develop trusting relationships with those struggling with delinquent behaviors, aggression, trauma, and substance use.
My Background and Approach
Roy is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois. He earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2008 and focused his work on addressing trauma, depression, and anxiety. In addition, he is a S.P.A.R.C.S. (Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress) trained clinician who Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, and Trust-Based Relational Interventions to promote healing and wellness within the individual and family. At this time, his telehealth practice is focused on supporting clients and families who are looking for a safe place to process the changes they are struggling to implement in their life.
