About My Clients
Find yourself sacrificing for others without getting much in return? Constantly anxious in your relationships? It's a constant push and pull only to end up savoring the small crumbs you get from your partner or others. It's exhausting, isn't it? During some point in our lives, we can get to a place where we no longer feel in control. Sometimes it can even feel as though we never had control to begin with.
My Background and Approach
I am an LGBTQ affirming marriage and family therapist who understands that you have a unique story. By working at a deeper level, I aim to help individuals, couples, and families heal from the inside-out. In addition to completing my Masters from Brandman/Chapman University, I also gained clinical experience at the LGBT Center and have training in both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems (Parts-work). Clients have come to me for a variety of life struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, couples communication issues, and recovery from toxic relationships. My primary goal is to not only help you heal but to also thrive in your daily life. I help my clients accomplish this through understanding and healing the deeper parts of us still holding onto wounds.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When it comes to life, we are bound to eventually face difficulties. I truly believe that is it easy to get lost in the fast paced world we live in today. Instead of embracing ourselves as a perfectly imperfect human "being", we get stuck in the cycle of human "doing" while comparing our worth with the achievements of others. I believe once we learn how to nuture ourselves, we can feel whole again.
