Like many of my clients, I’ve had a long and winding journey full of ups and downs to arrive at today, to this moment.

Psychodynamic therapy is similar to psychoanalytic therapy in that it is an in-depth form of talk therapy based on the theories and principles of psychoanalysis. It is equally focused on the client-therapist relationship and the client’s relationship with their inner and external world.
EMDR is a unique, somatic form of psychotherapy designed to diminish negative feelings and sensations associated with memories of traumatic events. Unlike most forms of talk therapy, EMDR focuses less on the traumatic event itself and more on the disturbing emotions and symptoms that result from the event. I have completed Level 1 & 2 training and I am in process of working towards certification through EMDRIA.
DBT was originally developed to treat chronically suicidal individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD), and it is now recognized as the gold standard psychological treatment for this population. In addition, research has shown that it is effective in treating a wide range of other disorders such as substance dependence, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders. I have completed basic training with Marsha Linehan, the creator of DBT.
I have advanced training in Complex Trauma throughout the lifespan, which includes PTSD, Sexual Trauma, Traumatic Stress, and Childhood Trauma.
