About My Clients

I am passionate about working with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional pain, trauma, abuse dynamics, domestic violence and more. Perhaps you are trying to heal from a difficult relationship breakup, leaving you feeling sad and defeated. I provide support to military families, work with immigration/expat issues and individuals and families experiencing problems adjusting to various life changes including divorce, grief and loss, medical illness, job loss, etc.

My Background and Approach

To help you prevent these issues, I will give you the tools you need to build a solid foundation that will help you improve your overall well-being. I will also support you on your journey of self-discovery by helping you find a deeper meaning in your life and relationships. Through my services, I aim to help you gain insight and self-awareness so that you can progress toward positive change. We will work together to achieve a deeper understanding of your underlying behavior patterns that may be keeping you from reaching satisfaction in life. Based on these patterns, I will help you create attainable goals while making sure that you feel supported and validated throughout your healing journey. In addition, growing up in a blended, mixed-race family has made me aware of how important it is to view therapy through a cultural lens. During our sessions, I will focus on learning about your unique upbringing to understand how it shaped you into the person you are today.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

A little bit about me. I was born into a blended military family and grew up in Germany. I am fluent in speaking German and provide services in German and English. My family ancestry was shaped by WWII and the Holocaust. Being personally aware of the negative impact of intergenerational cycle of global trauma, has provided me with a unique insight into such trauma and its devastating effects. I embrace my German heritage and my African American culture equally. Having moved to America from Germany during my twenties has given me great understanding of issues related to being an expatriate. Equality on all levels and all people are of utmost important to me and the work I do.
