About My Clients
I work with emerging adults and adults who would like to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression, resolve past trauma and attachment injuries, develop strategies to reduce substance misuse and abuse, manage executive function deficits from ADHD, and decrease codependent patterns and behaviors.
My Background and Approach
The field of counseling intrigued me for multiple reasons. Many individuals face difficulties in their lives and don’t have the support they need to work through what they are facing. Life can be complex, and we all need a safe place to release those burdens. Building a therapeutic relationship is part of our work and allows the individual to experience what a healthy relationship feels like. I enjoy being a therapist because I believe in growth, change, and hope. Everyone has the courage and strength to create the life they want, and being a part of that journey is a true honor. Watching an individual change and grow is similar to watching a garden grow; it takes patience, time, trial and error, and nurturance to bloom into the person you were meant to be. During our time together, you will gain tools to integrate into your daily life to alleviate any anxiety or stressors and begin to have a better understanding of your emotional self and needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take a holistic and individualistic approach in my work as a therapist. It is essential to honor and respect everyone’s stories, values, beliefs, and ways of processing and learning information. Therapy is more than unraveling our thoughts and feelings; it is also about how you live your life outside the session. I like to integrate and collaborate with one’s emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual side, as that provides healing in a more balanced way.
