About My Clients
I work with adults seeking therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, chronic pain, relationship concerns, and identity development. I have expertise in areas of suicide loss, chronic migraine management, medical trauma, illness anxiety, and biofeedback. My trauma training has been primarily focused on traumatic loss, medical trauma, sexual trauma, psychological abuse, and LGBTQ+ trauma. I am able to see residents of PA and 39 other states via telehealth through PsyPact.
My Background and Approach
I received my Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) from Widener University. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Pennsylvania (#PS019683). As a PsyPact participating provider, I am able to see clients in any PsyPact participating state virtually on a secure, HIPAA-complaint video conferencing platform. My background is primarily grounded in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic modalities. I am also an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR therapist. I approach therapy with the understanding that many of our symptoms and struggles are normal human attempts to manage pain, loss, anxiety, and even difficult or overwhelming emotions. My goal is help you find your way through these struggles and reclaim a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling to you. Our work together will be unique to your individual history and identity and tailored to your goals and values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is most effective when you commit to tangible behavior changes in addition to exploring the concerns bringing you to therapy via talk therapy. I strive to provide a safe inclusive space for us to talk openly and authentically so you feel supported as you process difficult life experiences, better understand yourself, and make meaningful life changes.
