About My Clients
I am passionate in working with children and adolescents struggling to overcome anxiety, OCD, behavioral and emotion regulation issues, trauma and other life's stressful events. I have extensive experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD and autism. I also have specialized training in helping children cope and thrive with their chronic medical health conditions such as pediatric diabetes, cancer, chronic discomfort/ pain, and gastrointestinal issues.
My Background and Approach
I attained my doctorate degree at PGSP-Stanford Consortium. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at Children’s Hospital Orange County and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I have significant knowledge in understanding the connection between the mind and the body, and how they interplay with one's social environment. I am bilingual and bicultural and is sensitive to one's cultural values. I seek to empower my patients in making healthy and attainable behavioral choices that make a lasting impact on their psychological and physical wellbeing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my work with children and families, I am compassionate, collaborative, and many times playful. I utilize evidence-based interventions that is driven by the most up to date science. My treatment plan is always individualized to the child and their family's unique strengths and needs in order to support them in fulfilling their identified therapeutic goals.
