I work with individuals who suffer from racing thoughts, difficulty falling asleep/staying asleep, panic attacks, muscle tension and other signs/symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety is a very physical mental health struggle and can be very scary to experience. I work with individuals to help better understand their anxiety and triggers and work on finding healthy coping strategies they can utilize throughout the day.
I work with individuals who experience overwhelming feelings of sadness, thoughts of hopelessness, loss of interests, suicidal thoughts, and self harming behaviors. Depression is very challenging to those who are experiencing it due to the lack of motivation and anxiety that typically co-occur. I work with individuals to learn more about depression and motivation and work towards creating healthy habits that can help break out of the depression cycle.
Nearly 50% of all humans have experienced at least 1 trauma in their life. I work with individuals who are experiencing PTSD by providing them a safe space to process their trauma. We will work on creating healthy habits and coping strategies to better navigate triggers.
I use cognitive behavioral techniques with clients to process thoughts and feelings, identify unhelpful thought patterns, and build skills and techniques to better navigate life stressors.
