About My Clients
It’s human nature to avoid activities, feelings, and experiences that signal we’re in danger. We instinctively seek safety, but how we seek it—the coping strategies we use—can disconnect us from ourselves, others, and life. Many of my clients have experienced abuse, neglect, violence, and loss. I am committed to helping them heal from the past, grow in the present, and design a future in which they’ll thrive.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I strive to be culturally responsive and inclusive. My compassionate yet straightforward approach, along with my use of humor, builds trusting relationships with my clients and provides them with a safe space to explore, learn, and change. I use a variety of techniques, so I can meet the unique needs of my clients. I draw on insight-oriented and trauma-informed approaches, CBT, and Schema Therapy to help my clients improve their connection to self and others and to feel more empowered.
