About My Clients
Often one seeks therapy when feeling stuck (hopeless/helpless, overwhelmed, panicked, fearful, shameful, lost, confused) resulting in feeling alone and isolated. I provide individual psychotherapy to clients with issues related to life transitions, anxiety spectrum disorders (OCD, generalized anxiety, panic disorder), trauma, depression, relational issues and LGBTQ+ identity development. I provide thorough assessment to aid in identifying specific presenting concerns and tailor my approach.
My Background and Approach
I utilize an integrative framework, both emphasizing the exploration of how one’s past informs their current beliefs and relationships, as well as the development of helpful coping tools to create active change using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) treatments.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Your story and experience are a privilege and at the foundation of our work is the building of trust and respect. Together, we can increase empowerment and self-compassion. I strive to be anti-racist and LGBTQ+ affirming in my approach as a therapist. I work with clients to identify and validate one’s identities and systemic intersections to facilitate empowerment. I utilize treatments that are based in research and scientific evidence, while also taking an integrative approach that acknowledges wellness as multi-dimensional in seeing the person within their environment.
