About My Clients

I specialize in helping new parents survive and thrive before and after having kids, helping those who are struggling to conceive, and supporting parents who have experienced pregnancy loss. I work with couples and parents who are interested in healing, rediscovering themselves, and rebuilding the joy in their relationships.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and also a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist through Postpartum Support International. I have advanced training in postpartum mood disorders and extensive experience supporting parents as they navigate the challenges of remaining connected to one another while parenting as a team. So whether you are experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, anger, lack of connection, or are just feeling the strain of adjusting to being a parent, I can provide the support you need. When we work together, you will have a space to be fully accepted for all that you are. We will identify your strengths and areas of growth, and create a plan together for how to tackle the things that get in the way of your ability to live in the way that you want and to have a truly supportive relationship.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that the current parenting culture sets moms and dads up to feel like they are failing, because they can't ever tick all of the boxes (good parent, good partner, clean house, good employee, good cook, healthy body etc.). I am a mother of two, and I went through my own turbulent transition to parenthood and relationship strain. The myth is that you should be enjoying every moment while still succeeding in everything. And when that isn't the case, we point to ourselves as the problem: "I must be doing something wrong!" I'm here to tell you that you aren't wrong or broken — you're struggling because this stuff is HARD. But, you don't have to figure this out alone. I will be there to guide you, support you, and challenge you to find new ways to thrive — without the pressure to be perfect. At Winding Path Counseling we believe that Black Lives Matter, that all people are valid, and that everyone deserves respect, love, and human rights. You will not be discriminated against here.
