New life experiences can be difficult or confusing. It can be helpful to talk through new life stages with a professional to manage expectation and changes in yourself, those around you and what it is around you.

Many times life is difficult and depressing. In my clinical experience, I have found that helping people reconnect with their own thoughts, feelings, hobbies, friends, family and values help alleviate symptoms and feelings of depression.

Time management, memory, follow through, chores, work/school and keeping up with friends and family can all feel unmanageable for many diagnosed with ADHD. I work with individuals to find the areas of their life the need/want help in, and to find a solution that works specifically for them to create routines, increase positive coping skills and engage in life in a meaningful way.

Learning emotional regulation skills, mindfulness skills, distress tolerance skills and interpersonal skills can help with a wide range of psychological struggles including anger, anxiety, depression, substance use, and more.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy can help with overwhelming thoughts and feelings such as anger, worry/anxiety and depression/sadness. I will work with you as we practice ACT skills such as thought diffusion each week.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy looks at the connection between our thoughts, feelings and actions/behaviors. Through out our life we learn many things, but sometimes what we learn isn't very true or accurate. Sticking with these inaccurate thoughts can cause us stress, anger, fear, sadness and more. During CBT we examine the accuracy or truth to some of the thoughts which effect you and work to change or reframe any inaccurate thoughts that are hurting you.
