About My Clients
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Foresight and received my Master of Social Work Degree with a concentration in Behavioral Health from California State University San Marcos. Before becoming a Foresight therapist, I worked in a community-based mental health center for adults for nine years, and I also have experience doing play therapy with children and working with adults with developmental disabilities and their families.
My Background and Approach
In addition to my educational and professional experience, my 30+ years of lived experience with a mood disorder and my recovery journey informs my practice in many ways, as I have a great deal of empathy, compassion, and understanding for those who are struggling with mental health issues. I bring a message of hope and high expectations for what my clients are capable of achieving. I have a passion for assisting others to overcome their challenges and reach their individual goals and optimal potentials. My specialty areas include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, body/mind/spirit wellness, stress management, anger management, personal growth, spirituality, life transitions, self-esteem, sleep disorders, and relationship issues, among others. My philosophy is that we are a team, walking alongside one another on the journey, openly communicating and working together for the best possible outcomes.
