About My Clients
As someone who has experienced many transitions, I feel I would work best with clients who need support during profound life experiences. The clients that I work well with are the clients who are undergoing uncertainties, such as expecting parents, graduate students, those adjusting to cultural changes, and grief and loss. My goal is to help my clients meet these transitions head-on, feeling secure, motivated, and empowered.
My Background and Approach
The approach to therapy that I take is called "humanistic." This means that I focus specifically on your internal desires to help you on your journey with self-discovery. I find this approach works best with those experiencing transitions in their lives. This approach includes teaching my clients about mindfulness, affirming statements, and exploring their inner world without judgment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take an active anti-racist stance in treatment. This means it is my priority to provide a therapeutic space that is inclusive, affirming, and ultimately, yours to craft. I allow room in session for my clients to be genuine and authentic giving them opportunities to increase their resilience through self-exploration and addressing their intersectionality. As I support them through their transitions, I ensure that I give them the tools to grapple with the changes in their inner and external worlds. My belief is therapy should leave clients feeling like they belong.
