About My Clients
My clients come from various backgrounds and ethnicities with a broad range of symptoms including; anxiety, depression, identity issues, relational issues etc. I understand that discussing the most vulnerable parts about yourself is no easy task. I choose to walk with my client's on their journey with empathy and humility helping them discover their most authentic self. My goal is to help you amplify your voice and highlight your strengths so that you achieve optimal wellness.
My Background and Approach
My background and lived experiences has helped me discover my purpose and passion in life and I am blessed to have the opportunity to help others do the same. As a Muslim Fijian American women coming from a traditional background I have endured great adversities in fighting for the right for a higher education and equality. The resiliency within me built through those adversities has strengthened my love to help others in their own healing process. As a multi cultural therapist I strive for cultural competence and recognize the various complexities that establish an individual identity. I have worked in behavioral health field as a behavior specialist for 5 years helping parents and families with children with behavioral needs such as Autism and ADHD. I finished my Masters in counseling psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy and have worked with a broad range of couples, families, and individuals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take great pride in my work and through my work as a behavior specialist working with children and adults with developmental delays I have created many behavior intervention plans for parents and families to encourage healthy behaviors.
