About My Clients
Are you left in a world without color, full of emotion and yet numb? I will help you connect body and mind, minimize unwanted chatter and together we will empower you to move toward positive change, renewed well-being, relieving uncomfortable emotions. There is no getting over it, but I will walk beside you to get through it.
My Background and Approach
When you start therapy it can be confusing, scary and sound like mumbo jumbo. I am approachable, will answer your questions, and partner with you to ensure that your goals direct our work and help you realize a full life of your design. Life when we are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss is often a life that is without color. My goal is to compassionately hear your story, offer time and space to process your emotions and then focus on your resilience, strengths, and when helpful provide tools to help you identify unhealthy thinking patterns, and establish a sense of identify that integrates your life's experience and helps you envision a world in color.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that resilience can be cultivated and that even in life's darkest moments when our world is upside down, we can live and grow and see our world in color. I believe in lifelong learning and professionally strive to stay current in my knowledge and practice. I believe that grief needs space and time to be witnessed, and that the death of a loved one is not something you get over, but something that you experience and walk through. I believe in the human spirit and dignity. I know that my experience as a therapist is some of my most important life's work.
