About My Clients
I'm here to guide you in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, a journey that sparks compassion and empathy for yourself. Let's work through the things that keep you up and night along with all the difficult emotions. When we address those triggers, we can start to see meaningful change. My clinical focus is on anxiety, stress management, and relationship issues. I know that each journey is unique, and I'd be honored to be a part of yours.
My Background and Approach
We all experience pain in our lives but the beliefs and feelings we have about our pain can increase our suffering. Understanding these beliefs and where they come from can help us react to situations differently and develop positive beliefs. For example, you may sometimes have the thought "I'm not good enough" and feel down or anxious. There's a good chance you may have felt that way for a long time. In therapy, we would explore where that belief about yourself developed and identify the triggers that make you feel that way today. We would then develop new adaptive ways of coping so that you can respond differently, and feel more confident and capable in reaching your goals. I understand that it takes courage to be vulnerable in asking for help. I want to be that safe space for you, and to provide support on your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in Southern California in a multigenerational Korean, Christian family. My beliefs and values come from my Christian faith as well as my Korean-American heritage. I value working hard and caring for others. I hope that through my work I can encourage others and point to Christ.
