About My Clients
Are you frustrated that your life isn’t what you want it to be? Maybe you struggle with the relationships in your life and you can’t seem to figure out why things just never seem to work out for you? Do you feel like you are always wearing a mask or trying to fit into the mold that seems to be what others expect? My Background and Approach
Each person’s story is unique, which is why there is no cookie cutter way to approach therapy. My approach to therapy is as eclectic as my bookshelf or Spotify playlists. I deeply believe in the intrinsic worth and value of every person, thus I approach the therapeutic relationship as one that is based on acceptance, trust, worth and mutual respect that will create a safe space to share your story. Together we can explore what it means to be authentic to our self, within a holistic frame of wellness to enable you to step into life with the skills to navigate all of life’s paths. I tell clients that life often offers a spork in the road, not just a fork, so where are you on life’s spork? I desire to work with individuals who don’t fit into typical society, but want to find a therapist who gets it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My current working hyphen is cis-female-pansexual-white-she/her. I am an active member of the Queer community and actively participate in various advocacy and awareness endeavors. I am passionate about equality and breaking down the systemic barriers and societal burdens that have been placed on entire people groups for generations. I deeply seek to learn and grow, with a natural curiosity that leads me down interesting adventures. I believe in living as authentically as possible, knowing we all wear masks at different moments in life, but the goal is to live with the least amount of masks possible. I approach therapy often like I approach life, with open hands and an open heart. I consider it a privilege to hear someone's story and to walk alongside them for a while in their journey. It is their story that interests me. There are parts of our story that can be harder to share and I strive to create a safe space to enable you to share your story and learn from yourself.
