About My Clients
I work with people experiencing complex trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, low self-esteem, shame, and struggling with emerging adulthood and identity. I understand the pervasive impact of childhood trauma and complex family dynamics, and I believe that deep and authentic connection to others is essential to our sense of well-being. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to expand our self knowledge, open ourselves to connection, and develop greater agency in our lives.
My Background and Approach
I am a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and University of Chicago, and I have specialized training in the psychodynamics and neurobiology of relational trauma and attachment injuries. We will identify recurring patterns of relating to yourself and others and support you in deepening self-awareness, connection, and agency. I do not believe one-size-fits-all. Instead, I offer a secure base for exploration and expansion. I support those who are curious about the origins of their symptoms in order to create a meaningful life in the present. Together, we can make sense of the impact of your past experiences. Greater awareness, presence, and connection offer new possibilities for the future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take the responsibility of being a clinician seriously. I believe in collaboration, consent, and safety-making, particularly for those who have felt historically unsafe with helping professionals. I understand the role of systemic and historical trauma and social injustice in perpetuating individual and familial pain. I aim to attend to issues of positionality, power, and intersectionality, and I believe in continued growth and learning around interpersonal and systemic harm.
