Do you feel as if you aren't yourself? That things aren't quite right, whether it's increased anxiety, feeling down or issues in your relationships? You find yourself repeating moments from the past but you're not sure what to do in the present. Often my clients aren't even sure if their emotions are valid or real. But they are. And yours are. Together we will explore your past and current patterns and how they affect your moods and beliefs.
My Background and Approach
I approach each client and their problems in an individualistic way. I often use attachment style theory and cognitive behavioral therapy, combined with person-centered theory in order to create a holistic picture of who you are and what has shaped you. I will work with you to create a therapeutic partnership that will help you gain the insight and change that you are seeking.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe right now the world feels extra horrible and uncertain. But this extra time is also a chance for us to confront our fears and issues. I approach my life and my work from a feminist, queer and anti-racist foundation. I also believe that no matter what we have experienced in life, it is to be believed and to be heard.
