I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist and have specialized training in systemic thinking/approach, which allows me to utilize intersectionality perspective and family systems perspective. I have experience working with, but not limited to, infidelity, communication issues, intimacy issues, friendship issues, relationship trauma, and more.

Therapy is first and foremost, a place of personal growth. I believe that therapy is a place to face head-on the difficult stuff we have been carrying with us for most of our lives. I have experience working on challenging automatic beliefs/ideas, exploring past traumas/family relationships to help clients understand their current selves better, helping clients discover what feels meaningful to them, and helping clients challenge themselves to achieve their personal goals.

I have extensive experience working with anxiety - may that be anxious thoughts and feelings, physical symptoms, social anxiety, anxiety stemming from past trauma, relationship anxiety, anxiety from experiences of being a man/woman/LGBTQIA+/Immigrant/religion/disability, and more.

I am heavily influenced by attachment theory which explains how our early relationship with our caregivers becomes a blueprint to how we see ourselves and others around us. This then informs us the type of relationship we may have, and explains why we might show up the way we do to ourselves, and our relationships. As a systemic thinker/family systems thinker, exploring attachment style is an inevitable part of our process.

I have extensive experience in working with people who struggle with the impact of childhood trauma/neglect/abuse. You might find yourself to be a perfectionist, people pleaser, and find yourself in a specific relationship over and over. I utilize trauma informed therapy techniques to create a warm and compassionate space for my clients. Safety and trust is very important for me and for the client to be challenged to grow in meaningful ways.
