About My Clients
I cannot pinpoint what my ideal clients would be due to my approach to treatment of all clients. I will do my best to do no harm to clients, be open minded and ready to learn from my own experiences, to be empathetic and listen fully and truly to my clients needs and desires. To work with and advocate for my clients in places where they need the most support. I will do my best to provide the best possible quality of life to the clients I work with.
My Background and Approach
I have a humanistic and trauma informed approach. I believe music is unique within the experiences it creates uniquely, originally, and individually. The role of music in a music therapy setting is to unlock and pave new avenues of healing. Music engages the brain fully and for the purposes of growth and healing it can catalyze that process exponentially. My role as a music therapist is to facilitate that music as best as possible. To support, advocate, and allow growth for my clients. I want to use my passion and love for healing and music to build up and support others’ healing journeys.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My values are based off of a humanistic approach to life. I believe individuals can heal, learn, and grow given the correct safe environment, tools, and supports to do so. I have a trauma informed approach and I identify as a part of the Latinx community so I have a strong consideration for internalized and microagression racism. I am passionate in working with survivors of childhood trauma, trauma, violence, and sexual assault and believe that stories should be shared and can catalyze empowerment when given a platform to do so. I believe in treatment being for the client and will take an individualized approach and look at all aspects of their lives to create an effective treatment plan together.
