I help people overcome depression in a mindful and relational way, utilizing evidence-based interventions. This means giving space to your in-the-moment internal experience and focusing on how depression shows up for you in your everyday relationships.

My work is informed by psychodynamic theory, which states that events from our childhood greatly impact our lives as adults, often in ways that we aren't fully conscious of. I hold an empathic and curious space with clients where we can explore what the underlying causes of current issues could be. I am a graduate of a clinical training program that centered on providing psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy to women, trans, and non-binary folx.
I'm informed by the neurobiology of trauma and work collaboratively with clients to reinstate their sense of safety and connection using evidence-based interventions. This work can be extremely vulnerable so I do my best to provide a safe, radically accepting, and non-judgmental space.
I believe that the centrality of relationships in people's lives (women and non-Western folks in particular) has long been pathologized by the field of mental health. I believe that therapy by its nature is a deeply relational process where mutual growth and empowerment can occur. As a result, I bring my full authentic self to the therapeutic relationship.
My work with clients is heavily informed by the perspective that one of our strongest survival drives is to attach to a primary caregiver. Our relationship to our earliest caregiver leaves an imprint in terms of the adaptive coping responses we employ later in life, which impact our adult relationships in myriad ways.
I am a graduate of the Women's Therapy Center's clinical training program which centered on providing culturally-sensitive and relational psychotherapy to women, trans, and non-binary folx.
