About My Clients
I use a non-judgement approach to create a safe space for clients to feel comfortable. Everyone is different and I tailor my clients' treatments to their needs. I use mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help my clients overcome stress, depression, anxiety, unhappiness, mental blocks, poor self-esteem, pregnancy/postpartum issues and eating issues. I help my clients make positive changes in their lives.
My Background and Approach
I have been a counselor since 2014 and I am a Certified Yoga Teacher. I am also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), which is a body-based therapy used to treat past trauma. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, pregnancy and postpartum issues (including NICU trauma), eating issues, and women's issues. Since your struggles affect your whole self, I address physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of your life in counseling. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to make positive changes in their lives. My clients have the ability to heal themselves, and I act as their guild. The physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person all influence their healing, and I work with clients to address their whole selves not just their symptoms. I do not discriminate against anyone, and I am an LGBTQ ally.
