My Background and Approach
My approach to practice is to cultivate a therapeutic space that is culturally responsive to the needs of my clients. My practice is rooted in justice and centers community-based support. As a trauma wound worker, I intentionally explore and challenge the impact of colonial legacies and how intergenerational trauma affects your overall health and well-being. I integrate ancestral healing modalities that honor how your own lived experiences and identities influence the connection between your mind, body, and spirit. As a therapist, I encourage you to self-determine your own healing process and co-create solutions that align with your authentic self. Inclusivity, intersectionality, social justice, anti-racism, and the decolonization of mental health are important dynamics of the All That Lies In Gray framework.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my personal and professional experience, I’ve worked to build intentional relationships with communities that are at the forefront of sociopolitical issues, challenge the effects of systemic oppression, and identify institutional barriers that limit their capacity to achieve social justice and liberation. In my role as a therapist and social worker, I have experience working with school-aged children (ages 5-10), adolescent youth, young adults, and families.
