My goal is to help your teen learn how to identify their feelings, communicate their thoughts and emotions, and discover ways to appropriately manage their emotions.
My Background and Approach
When experiencing feelings of anxiousness and sadness, some teens have difficulty managing their emotions. My goal is to help you're teen identify and implement coping skills when in distress at school, home, or with friends on a daily basis. Many teens have lots of different emotions and thoughts, but have trouble communicating them because they may not have the skill set to do so or they are afraid to be vulnerable with those closest to them due to fear or rejection. My second goal is to help your teen communicate their needs and feelings appropriately. I believe that it is important to create a safe place where your teen can feel comfortable sharing their struggles. After establishing a trusting relationships with your teen, I work closely with them to identify current thought patterns and negative feelings that are contributing to their feelings of anxiousness and sadness. Your child will gain the skills to go about their day with ease and peace.
