About My Clients
I know how hard it can be to reach out for help and to find a Therapist with a similar lived experience. There is so much pressure that is placed to have it all together that it can feel really lonely and anxiety inducing. It is even harder when you try to navigate different environments and relationships only to be left feeling like you don't belong or even told you are “too sensitive”. Over the years, I have supported Clients with processing these issues with the utmost cultural sensitivity.
My Background and Approach
My goal as a Licensed Therapist is to embody the importance of vulnerability and connection through my work. I have found that when people are in a safe space to be themselves, they are able to let go of unhelpful beliefs, people, and patterns that leave them feeling “stuck”. Whether it is learning ways to embrace your identity or finding the tools to navigate feelings of anxiety, trauma, and bad relationships-I enjoy helping you tap into your hidden gifts and getting to the heart of your struggles. I strive to provide you a secure and personal space to help you repair old wounds and give coping skills along the way. As a Palestinian woman, I am also passionate about destigmatizing mental health services among communities of color and emphasizing the importance of seeking services when needed. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my biggest values as a Therapist is to hold that safe space for you because I have seen how much healing and change can take place when people can genuinely feel heard and accepted. My hope is that through our therapy, you realize how much control and power that you hold. I am also an active ally to BLM and the LGBTQ community.
