As a Black woman, therapist, community organizer, Racial Equity Consultant, and someone who believes in the innate worth and humanity of all, I pair my education and lived experiences to fully see the person in the (virtual) therapy room. I have a nuanced understanding of how capitalism, white supremacy, and various systems of oppression compound to impact one’s experience of life. My goal is to show up with humility, in a way that sees you fully.

As a level one IFS-trained clinician, I have years of IFS therapy and supervision under my belt and am also eager to continue my learning journey with this model. IFS makes it clear that while there are aspects of our lives that we may want to change, we can do so with self-compassion and the knowledge that we (and our parts) are doing our very best with the tools that we have. This approach is one that I connect to strongly.

In IFS, what’s commonly called “depression” is more broadly understood as distress coming from one or more parts of a person. For some their low mood feels like emptiness or self-loathing, for others it's chronic sadness and grief, and for others it’s desperation hanging on for dear life itself. As an IFS Therapist, I will show you a way through it without getting lost in it.

Whether you experience low level feelings of anxiety or symptoms of PTSD that might involve severe panic attacks, Internal Family Systems therapy is an extremely effective way of working with these issues. As a skilled IFS therapist, I will help you better know and heal the parts of you that are fearful, so you can live your life with more calmness and balance inside and out.
