About My Clients

My clients are individuals and couples who come to me to address their concerns around anxiety, depression, body image, self esteem, and improving relationships. I have extensive experience working with survivors of sexual trauma and domestic violence. Many of my clients are feeling pulled in many directions and want to fit all of the parts of themselves together. Most of my clients are women of color as well as being part of the LGBTQ community.

My Background and Approach

I take an integrative healing approach to support my clients. My practice focuses on understanding how oppressive systems and social constructs such as racism, sexism, and homophobia impact our mental health. I work with clients to identify different competing parts within themselves that may be present as they navigate their mental health concerns. Together we work to bring those parts back into harmony. Through these approaches I also work with couples to understand the parts of themselves that are affecting their relationship challenges. I have experience working in community mental health settings, specifically working with women of color, couples, and the LGBTQ community. I am passionate about working with clients who are working through trauma, both personal and intergenerational.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I value social justice, feminism and community, which are integrated into my work as a therapist. I work from a space of growth and acceptance helping clients to accept who they are while they move towards desired change in their lives. I value creating a safe space for all individuals from all races, genders, religions, and sexual orientations. As a black queer woman, I am particularly passionate about supporting the mental health needs of women of color and LGBTQ individuals. My vision is to move towards a just and equitable world for all marginalized individuals.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
